Thank you for your interest in Gut Üselitz. This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit our website or make a booking, for what purposes, on what legal basis, and what rights you have. In case of doubt, the German version applies.
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Gut Üselitz
Owner: Astrid von Götz-Welbergen
Üselitz 2
18574 Poseritz
Germany
Phone: +49 170 555 7576
Email: info@ueselitz.de
We are not legally required to appoint a data protection officer and have not done so. If you have any questions about data protection, please use the contact details above.
We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website, to answer enquiries, to carry out bookings, or on the basis of your consent. The legal bases are in particular:
Storing information on your device (e.g. cookies) and accessing it is governed by Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG): we use technically necessary cookies under Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and all others only with your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG.
Personal data is deleted as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. 6 years under the German Commercial Code or 8 to 10 years under the German Fiscal Code for tax-relevant documents).
This website is operated by an external hosting provider that processes data on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the host pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Each time our website is accessed, the following data is automatically stored in server log files:
This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure security (e.g. defending against attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted automatically after a short period unless they are needed for longer to investigate a specific security incident.
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
Our website uses cookies. These are small text files stored in your browser. Some cookies are technically necessary for the website to work. We only use other cookies and services (e.g. web analytics, map service) if you have given your prior consent.
When you first visit our website, we show you a cookie banner where you can give or refuse your consent. For this we use the WordPress plugin “CookieYes”, which runs on our own server. Your choice is stored in a cookie in your browser (storage period: 12 months) so that we do not have to ask you again on every page. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR and Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie icon at the bottom left of every page. You can also delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
The following technically necessary cookies are set without consent:
To protect our website against attacks, spam and misuse, we use the WordPress plugin “Shield Security”. The plugin analyses technical access data (including IP address, time and page requested) and sets a technically necessary cookie to detect automated access (bots). Processing takes place exclusively on our server; no data is passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your enquiry, requested dates) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a booking or event, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. if a contract is concluded).
For bookings of our holiday apartments we use the booking system of Smoobu GmbH, Berlin, Germany. When you click “Booking”, you are redirected to Smoobu’s booking page (booking.smoobu.com).
As part of the booking we process in particular: name, address, email address, phone number, travel dates, number of guests, booking and payment information and, where applicable, your message to us. Processing is carried out to perform the booking and the accommodation contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Smoobu processes the data on our behalf; we have concluded a data processing agreement with Smoobu pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. If online payment is offered on the booking page, the data required for this is transmitted to the respective payment service provider, whose privacy information shown on the booking page also applies. More information: https://www.smoobu.com/de/datenschutz/
As an accommodation provider, we are required by the German Federal Registration Act (Sections 29, 30 BMG) to collect certain guest data (e.g. name, address, date of birth, nationality, arrival and departure dates). Where applicable, we also collect the local visitor’s tax under the municipality’s statutes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Registration data is kept for one year after departure in accordance with Section 30(4) BMG and destroyed within three months thereafter.
If you have consented to the category “Statistik / Analyse” (statistics) in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. “_ga” and “_ga_GP9R51PVN7”, storage period up to 2 years) that are used to analyse how our website is used, such as pages visited, time spent, approximate location (country/city), device type, browser and the website you came from. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We have deactivated Google Signals and the use of data for personalised advertising. Analytics data is automatically deleted after 14 months.
The purpose is the statistical evaluation and improvement of our website. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie icon at the bottom left.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. A transfer of data to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
On our contact page we embed a map from the Google Maps service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The map is only loaded once you have consented to the category “Funktional / externe Medien” (functional / external media) in the cookie settings. When the map loads, your IP address, date and time and the page visited, among other things, are transmitted to Google and may also be processed in the USA (Data Privacy Framework, see section 10). Google may set cookies in the process. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG; it can be withdrawn at any time. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
On our website we display recent posts from our Instagram profile using the WordPress plugin “Smash Balloon Instagram Feed”. The images are delivered from our own server; visiting our website therefore does not transmit any of your data to Instagram.
Only when you click on a post or the “Instagram” link are you redirected to Instagram. The provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. Instagram’s privacy policy applies there: https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy
We also operate our own Instagram profile. When you visit it, Meta processes your data under its own responsibility; for certain statistics (“Insights”) we are joint controllers with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR). The corresponding agreement is available at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@ueselitz.de is sufficient.
Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Werderstraße 74a
19055 Schwerin, Germany
https://www.datenschutz-mv.de
You do not have to provide any personal data to visit our website. For a booking we need the information marked as mandatory in the booking form and the registration data required by law; without this information no accommodation contract can be concluded.
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
We will update this privacy policy if our website, the services we use or the legal situation change. The version published here applies.
